Kelby Hagar, President & Chief Executive Officer
Kelby Hagar is a Harvard-educated attorney and certified public accountant with extensive experience in running technology and software development companies. In 2001, Hagar formed Digital Witness, LLC, a company dedicated to the development of software applications that enable businesses to utilize video surveillance technology to improve their management efficiencies. When Westec InterActive, Inc acquired Digital Witness in November 2007, Hagar was made President of the combined companies.
In 1998, Hagar founded GroceryWorks.com, Inc and served as the company's President. During his tenure, GroceryWorks developed its initial e-commerce website, initiated operations in Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston, and generated annualized revenues of $25M. After leading GroceryWorks through a merger with Safeway, Inc in 2001, Hagar founded Digital Witness. Additionally, Hagar has held positions with Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP, a national law firm, and with Hunt Investment Group, a Dallas-based private equity firm.
Hagar is a 1995 Cum Laude graduate of Harvard Law School with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and a 1992 Magna Cum Laude graduate of Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Brent Dunn, Chief Operating Officer
Brent Dunn founded Digital Witness in 2001 with Kelby Hagar. Over the next six years, Dunn was responsible for developing the software and operating systems that led to the company’s remarkable growth. When Westec acquired Digital Witness in 2007, Dunn was appointed Chief Operating Officer and currently oversees all operational activities for the combined companies, including procurement, customer service, account management, and the national installation & service teams that conduct over 500 installations each month. Prior to Digital Witness, Dunn worked with the Todd Wagner Foundation, where he was the Director of the Minority Technology Fund, and with MIRACLES, an after-school program bringing technology training to inner cities across the country.
Dunn worked with Hagar from 1999-2001 as the Vice President of Information Technology at GroceryWorks.com, an online grocer in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. Prior to GroceryWorks, Dunn served as Manager of Distributed Networks at Cessna Aircraft from 1992-1999.
Dunn is a 1992 graduate of Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a minor in Marketing and Management.
John Curreri, Chief Financial Officer
John Curreri brings more than 17 years of financial, operational and mergers and acquisitions experience to Westec Intelligent Surveillance. While consulting for several small- to mid-market companies at Virtual CFO, a provider of financial, human resources and systems implementation services, his CFO duties included establishing accounting and operations policies and procedures, creating financial models, managing accounting departments and presenting findings and recommendations to CEOs and Boards of Directors.
Previously, Curreri was CFO for Metreos, a voice over IP software firm (acquired by Cisco Systems), VP of Finance of Netrake, a session border controller firm (acquired by AudioCodes) and Controller of Hollywood Theaters, a movie theater firm (acquired by Wallace Theaters). He also served as a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Audit practice, focusing primarily on publicly traded clients, and an Experienced Manager in Ernst & Young’s Mergers and Acquisitions practice.
Curreri received a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Accounting and Philosophy from Boston College in 1991. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the state of Texas.
Jon Bolen, Chief Technology Officer
Jon Bolen brings more than 15 years of experience in technology and operational leadership to Westec Intelligent Surveillance. Bolen joined Westec in 2006 after overseeing the successful sale of Trax Retail Solutions to March Networks.
Bolen helped transform the product and solution packages for Trax that enabled the company to become one of the top business intelligence vendors in the retail industry. Bolen previously served as the general manager of the European operations for Radiant Systems, Inc, where he grew the installed base by more than 400%, reduced customer issues by more than half, and turned the European operation into a successful business unit serving Shell, Repsol YPF and ConocoPhillips. Prior to taking on the European responsibilities Bolen lead Radiant’s 70+ person development team focused on developing retail POS products for convenience stores and supermarkets including Kroger, Speedway SuperAmerica, BP, Sheetz and Wawa.
Bolen received his BA from the University of Florida in 1990 with Highest Honors and his MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business in 1995 with High Honors. He also earned a certificate in LEAN Six Sigma from Villanova University in 2007.
Chuck Moeling, Executive Vice President Sales & Chief Marketing Officer
Chuck Moeling brings 20 years of strategy, sales, operations and technology experience to the company. Primarily working out of Westec’s Atlanta office, his responsibilities include the development of sales and marketing strategy and managing the national and local sales teams.
Prior to joining Westec, Moeling served as Vice President of Retail at Radiant Systems where he played a key role in winning strategic customers, including The Athlete’s Foot and Batteries Plus. Before Radiant, Moeling was a founding executive of BlueCube Software. Moeling’s teams added strategic accounts such as Marriott Select Services, doubled the firm’s subscription installation and increased revenues by over 60%.
Moeling holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BE in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University’s School of Engineering. Moeling also received his CPIM certification from APICS.
